Abstract: In this paper is presented an optimized algorithm for automatic parallax adjustment of anaglyph stereoscopic images. The anaglyph method is based on image separation by means of Red and Cyan color filters into two images intended for the left and right eyes respectively. Two color layers, representing two slightly different views to a scene, are superimposed in order to produce depth effect. This superimposition is performed with a shift to reduce eye strain and double vision. Thus the induced parallax is optimal when there is maximal overlapping of the objects in the images.

Abstract: The author proposes a system for a complete analysis of 3D visual scenes. A contour binary image of the scene with described segments and nodes is used as an input information. The first part of the analysis is the finding of background and closed contours. The author is presenting heuristic algorithms for the task solving.

Abstract: The rapid development of internet technologies conditioned the construction of 3D virtual worlds. They were realised in the education field by the creation of 3D virtual learning environments. The article reveals the role of the 3D virtual reality in education and the presentation of learning materials. In educational practices the main pedagogical methods are based on profound research, effective training and multimedia or WWW presentation of the education content. 3D VLE allow the consumer to immerse into 3D area, to interact with it, and the same time to control the access to the education objects. The purpose of the article is to define one of the main problems in the construction of web-based 3D virtual environment, connected with the choice of suitable platform, construction of VRML-prototypes, building and visualisation of simulations and so on. At the end of the analysis is presented an example of 3D virtual environment with interactive simulations in real time which gives conditions for a real learning process.

Abstract: The first 3D computer animation model of the human face was created by Parke in 1972. Since that time, constantly works on creating new models and methods for animation of talking heads. And all these years the main criterion is the plausibility of the generated animation. This paper discusses the existing systems of key static shapes of faces used in the visual speech generation, having considered the question “Which system is most suitable?”

Abstract: This article investigates at and compares the main parameters of hard magnetic discs and hard discs based on flash memory. Experiments with the two devices are carried out. On the basis of the results obtained, conclusions about choosing a specific devise for mobile and desktop personal computers are made.

Abstract: As a result of a deep analysis about the existed theories, concepts and concrete e-learning platforms realizations, a system of mutually connected components, which allows improving the effectiveness of e-learning, is suggested in this report. These components are learner’s personalization, interaction and communication, motivation and knowledge control. A module of a software e-learning platform for searching and adapting the learning material according the learner’s individual way of absorbing the new information is also presented and discussed.

Abstract: In this paper we have analysed the methods which provide security throughout the Internet by focusing our attention predominantly on the existing and prospective mechanisms for e-mail protection. One of the current tasks in the field of computer security is the development of adequate methods for protection against hackers’ attacks. We have also outlined the problems and the related trends and we have made an extended analysis of the means of security.

Abstract: Grid technology and grid computing appear to be potentially the next generation platforms for solving large problems in science and engineering. To manage millions of heterogeneous resources that are distributed across multiple organizations and administrative areas is complex problem. The paper proposes an agent-based model of resource management in Grid. The GALA methodology is used to define the basic agents. It allows analyzing the entire requirements specific to each role model and design agents to fulfill these roles. Based on the presented model is proposed agent-based middleware in distributed development environment JADE.

Abstract: In this paper parallel hybrid metaheuristics algorithm has been suggested on the bases of combination ACO — local search for solving the combinatorial university timetabling problem for target platform compact heterogeneous computer cluster by applying the phase parallel algorithmic paradigm. A respective model for parallel computation has been designed on the basis of the suggested algorithm. The designed model for parallel computation has been verified and its efficiency has been investigated by parallel hybrid program implementations (MPI+OpenMP). The quality of the solutions obtained has been explored.
